On Tuesday morning the Blackhawks recalled forward Andreas Martinsen on an emergency basis.

In 61 games with Rockford, Martinsen has posted 12 goals and 14 assists. He is listed at 6-3 and 229 pounds and has also accumulated 54 penalty minutes this season.

Bollig Jr., Mashinter Jr. et. al.

My concern is Q falls in love w/ him at first sight and he somehow makes the NHL roster next year. You never know w/ Q and his obsessions with guys like this. Hopefully Duclair & Highmore return quickly, at least one of them.

P.S. You can’t tell me there is not a younger forward in Rockford that could be a long-term piece that should have been recalled instead of this guy.

More mismanagement ? Everyone knows what Martinsen has to offer ,.,.one dimension,.,.,would he be effective playing on a line with Hayden and Hinostroza ?

Perhaps not a bad move bringing him up to play against his old team, what the hell the season is shot to shit anyhow .

Rockford trying for playoffs may not hurt them to lose him as much. A playoff run be goid for the younger guys if they can make it.

Why not give Tyler Sikura the call? WTF…everyone knows why we signed him, but sounds like he’s played okay. Give him a shot with the big club and maybe he pumps our tires with bro.

I agree the young guys in RKF are better served playing in a playoff race in the AHL than playing out the string here and Martinsen has apparently played well and is the Hawks first Norwegian player so there’s that – kinda cool.
