Blackhawks Recall Raanta, Cumiskey
On Sunday, the Blackhawks recalled goaltender Antti Raanta and defenseman Kyle Cumiskey from Rockford.
With the IceHogs, Raanta posted an 8-1-1 record, .918 save percentage and 2.38 goals against average with two shutouts in 11 games. Before being replaced as the Hawks primary backup by Scott Darling, Raanta recorded a 7-4-1 record, .936 save percentage and 1.89 goals-against average with one shutout in 14 games for the Blackhawks.
Cumiskey had 20 points (two goals, 18 assists) in 54 games with Rockford. He also appeared in seven games with the Blackhawks earlier this year.
Does Darling go down for RFD? Obviously Crow will be getting all the starts from here on out.
Any news on Kimmo?
Darling can’t be sent down to Rockford. Most teams carry 3 goalies for the playoffs.
News on Kimmo- He IS slow!!! and SB wasted a Pick on him!!!
Kimmo really shouldn’t help-
Can’t look back but J. Petry has looked good and he would have gone for the same amount-but he is 27 and 6’3/6’4 and moves the puck well and can skate.
Pretty sure the rules for the playoffs go if you’re two goalies get hurt, anyone in the building can play goal. Hence the reason for the extra goalie for playoffs.
Wall – That’s not news!
