Blackhawks Recall Reese Johnson

On Monday, the Blackhawks were down a couple young forwards at practice, so they brought one back up.

Brandon Hagel and MacKenzie Entwistle were out of action. Hagel (left shoulder) got hurt after scoring in Sunday night’s win. Entwistle is reportedly dealing with an ankle injury. In the event either/both can’t go in the Blackhawks’ next game (which is probably a good bet), the Hawks recalled Reese Johnson from Rockford.

Johnson played in both IceHogs’ games over the weekend.

I hope Gaudette and Borgstrom draw in for Hagel and Entwistle and not RJ

It feels like Reese has had more consecutive games than the other two – Gaudette for sure

Got in a couple of games in Tfd on wknd., good thing. If TJ, Hagel and Entwistle not available be only 12 fwds active tomorrow night, could be insurance. Last year of his elc and lots of games to give so bouncing him back and forth not affecting anything about waiver exempt next year.

What I like about King is that he knows very well the players he was coaching in Rockford and he’s starting slowly to see what he need or will need in the future to get the team he wants . It’s a big advantage for him but he also knows that the hogs are not full off stars players.
Change of subject: Kaapo Kaako , ?? Is having difficulty to adjust to nhl this year he has 0 pt -2 with 13 shots on goal in 9 games average 15 minutes/ game. NHL is not a easy league to play .it’s is third year at 20 years old .( Please don’t bring Reichel to fast in the NHL ) Ian Mitchell is not adjusting well in Rockford will be 23 y o in 2 months. I still prefer Beaudin who is 1 year younger .

Hawks2010 another advantage having King who got to see Reichel in Rfd. this year, he will know what he is ready or not ready for.
If he stays in Rfd. this year his elc doesn’t start until next season, so slide year, could be a part of it too, although i hope not the biggest part of it, if he is ready he should be called up. Mitchell still has time to get it together yet, hopefully he does.

Believe that Davidson and King are very capable and hope they turn this around. Pretty obvious though with way the off ice faces of the organization have been replaced, is so the organization incurs no more expenses or even loses a bit this season, makes you wonder how it could affect the roster payroll. Even in tough times businesses still need to spend in certain areas to help the bottom line, so wonder how they will aporoach the roster issues.
