Blackhawks Recall Ryan Potulny

The Blackhawks made a roster move on Saturday morning because Dave Bolland was not able to make the trip to Minnesota with the team.

Ryan Potulny, who ranked among the top shot-blocking forwards in the NHL last year and also scored 16 goals with Edmonton, was recalled from Rockford.

The fact that the Hawks have brought up an NHL veteran center, when they brought up two younger prospects (Brandon Pirri and Evan Brophey) the first two times they needed a forward this year lends credibility to rumors first reported on CommittedIndians that Bolland may have a serious back injury and will miss more than one game.
