Blackhawks Recall Scott Darling

Corey Crawford is not available for Tuesday night’s game against the Flyers because of an upper-body injury; coach Joel Quenneville indicated the netminder is day-to-day.

Antti Raanta will get the start, and the Blackhawks will recall Scott Darling from Rockford to serve as the backup. Darling has been exceptional for the IceHogs early this season, posting a 1.44 goals against average while making 55 saves against 58 shots (.948 save percentage).

Both Darling and Leighton have put up impressive numbers in the young Rockford season. Hopefully the Crawford injury is only a couple days.

I have been watching this Brennan’s highlights and holy crap can this guy shoot the puck. Is he like awful defensively or something? I really do not know anything about him but stats for Brennan last year: 25G, 47A, 72P in 76 Games. That is pretty impressive so does anyone know anything about this guy?

Versteeg back tonight. Morin scratched. When does Mo get the Jimmy Hayes/Ryan Stanton treatment?

re: Mike57 begging for Rockford reports – the Hawks have now played 5 games and, with the exception of Crawford, they’re healthy. There’s no room for a call-up. We’ll update the IceHogs soon enough

    David B- I have never been a fan of CC’s Contract…

Hawks did not win last 2 cups with Goalies making Big $$$… I prefer to pay more of the money to players in front of the net minders… Nothing against CC… Hawks didn’t lose last year cuz of Crow– but could have won with paying/keeping a Frolik – Just my Opinion.
