Blackhawks Recall Vinnie Hinostroza
On Friday the Blackhawks recalled Vinnie Hinostroza from Rockford.
Hinostroza, 23, has nine goals and 13 assists in 23 games for the IceHogs this season. He was originally a sixth round (#169 overall) pick by the Blackhawks in the 2012 NHL Draft and played at Notre Dame for two seasons before signing a professional contract.
Hinostroza reportedly did not travel with Rockford on Thursday, keeping him available to join the NHL club.
Tanner Kero was assigned to Rockford.
Fresh blood, someone with an offensive skillset that can skate also skate well. Oesterle should also be waived, Highmore is just as ready as Hinostroza.
The Italian kid on the Kings (#19) can skate like the wind as well, made the jump to NHL this year directly out of college, no minor leagues. He passes the eye test and then some. He skates well and has an offensive skillset; Highmore is from the same cloth, he has been a top offensive, point producing player his entire career. Debrincat Lite. Outstanding signing by Bowman, A+.
Good to see Kero cleared and vinnie is up. Now put him in the lineup tonight and let’s go.
I hope you’re right Iceman, Iaofallo has been great for the Kings this year.
Hinostroza is supposed to play tonight – hopefully Q sits Sharp and inserts Hino into the 3rd line with Hartman and Panik.
Great news to hear CC is back in there.
The blogs will finally be happy as all have been calling for Vinnie over and over. Kind of the way they used to call for Teravainen. Fix the PP or it’s irrelevant.
