Keep the red, add black in the hair and put some color in the feathers on This Years Ring!

I can think of about 29 other NHL cities that would give their eye teeth to trade teams with Chicago!

And yet, it’s hard to believe there are so many “fans” and “experts” that criticize and whine about SB, Q, Speciality Team coaches, goalie, 6th defenseman, 3rd line LW, etc …

Wednesday’s game is still two days away but I guarantee that there are several “fans” who have already written their “recaps” stating that 1) Anisimov was too slow, 2) Rundblad was a disaster, 3) Bickell looked lost, 4) Crow is overpaid, …

Me? I’m going to relish the 6 year run, cheer for our revamped team while hoping they have something left in the tank after the short summer, and admit that 3-ring SB and Q probably know a little more about fielding and coaching a championship team than I do.

    Go Hawks!

On a side note – a trifecta of ex-Hawk defensemen put on waivers today
    Dylan Olsen
    Ryan Stanton
    Tim Erixson

Stephen Johns and Mike Paliotta were of course demoted much earlier.

But on a happier note – Adam Clendening made the Penguins final roster

One can only hope the Hawks bring up Ville Pokka sooner rather than later so that he can learn the defense ropes from Q rather than “season” in Rockford. Not a big fan of the staff there.

Was just going to make mention of Olsen and Stanton. I think I’d rather have Ryan Stanton paired with TVR than Rundblad, Svedberg,Rozsival,or Cumiskey.

Hawkfacts- What do you have against Ted Dent and Mark Osiecki?

Not those two guys per se – just the lack of development that I’ve seen from Rockford in the last 7 years

    Olsen – 1st rd
    Clendening – 2nd rd
    Johns – 2nd rd
    Brennan – 2nd rd
    Paliotta – 3rd rd
    Dahlbeck – 3rd rd
    LaLonde – 3rd rd

That’s a lot of high draft picks nowhere near a Blackhawks team that still ices David Rundblad

I like the 1st and 3rd much more than the 2nd, but even that one is awesome because different.

Paliotta never played a game for Rockford. Johns played 1 injury riddled season. Brennan came here at age 25 and this was his 5th organization. Dahlbeck and Clendending are on NHL rosters. I think anytime you take a prospect and he’s on an NHL roster you’ve done OK.

At what point is it drafting and what point is player development. Player development can’t turn garbage into gold.

The 2013 ring is much better looking than the others. Can’t wait to see the 2016 ring. The 1st ring was in 2010 and the next one came 3 years apart 2013, and the next one came 2 years apart, 2015, so this one will be 1 year apart, 2016. GO HAWKS!!!
