Blackhawks Roster Shakeup Continues

On Friday morning, the Blackhawks made a number of moves…

Veteran center Ryan Johnson was officially signed. He will play, and wear number 17, on Friday night vs. Detroit. His cap number for the year will be $500k (pro-rated hit because it’s mid-December)

Defenseman Jassen Cullimore was placed on waivers. His cap number was equal to Johnson’s.

Jeremy Morin was not recalled.

So, should we make something out of Morin not being recalled up from Rockford?

What I would make out of it is that the Blackhawks management doesn’t care about winning.

Grandpa Bowman wants those wily veterans and Stanley don’t got no dough to buy any good ones. First they gut all of Tallons great talent grabs and now we filled those positions with career long minor leaguers.
Does anyone believe that Hossa is playing up to his contract now?

Not keeping Morin up is a cheapskate approach – he has done better than average and we have to stay with the young guys.

Who was Savard calling out Wed??
