Blackhawks Send Marko Dano To Rockford

On Friday morning, the Blackhawks reassigned forward Marko Dano to Rockford.

Dano, 21, had just two points in 13 games with the Blackhawks this season, and hadn’t appeared in the lineup since Bryan Bickell was recalled. At least he’ll be able to get regular ice time with the IceHogs.

Meanwhile, Brandon Mashinter is still in Chicago.

Have to admit I was hoping,or maybe expecting, he would light it up after that stint with Columbus. That Dano and Hossa become some kind of dynamic duo. The Blackhawks are not however the Blue Jackets and that just didn’t materialize. The kid still has a big upside to his play and let’s hope he can elevate the game and be a force in the future.

What team shows up tonight? The 4-1 Blackhawks or 1-5 Blackhawks…Looking for a big bounceback against the Jets…it is a reasonable expectation with this team but then who knows.

Why hasn’t Mash been sent back?

Dano is done in this organization. Starting the season in the AHL backfired bigtime. Do not expect to see him again as a Hawk.

Maybe we can send Dano back to BJ and Bick for Savard at 1.3 mil this year..ok ok …just dreaming ….Dano is still a young kid and maybe i good player in a few years ..

Dano hasn’t met the hype that came when the trade with Columbis went down. Very disappointing and he needs quite a lot of work.

    Patience is needed.
The only think that makes me confused is the fact that they insist on playing his LW.
My stance (from the beginning) is that they should play him in the position where he’s comfortable, get him rolling and then switch the position.
He is a RW. All his moves are RW moves.
At some point he’ll take the hump and be a productive player with the Hawks. I have little doubt about that… playing RW would speed the process.

Working out a lot like Teuvo last year. He will be on that 3rd line come playoffs

Made alot of sense to send him down. Patience is needed, personally id rather see Dano instead of Bickell but Dano is 20 yrs old so the best thing for him is reg mins in RFD.

Excited that Tuevo seems to have grabbed that LW spot on the 1st line.
