Blackhawks Sign Colton Dach To Entry-Level Contract
On Friday morning the Blackhawks announced the team has signed Colton Dach to a three-year, entry-level contract. The deal has a $870,000 cap hit and runs through the 2023-24 season.
Kirby’s younger brother was selected in the second round (62nd overall) in the 2021 NHL Draft.
Good to have their high draft picks signed since not in ncaa. Allan and now C. Dach will go back to junior league if not on Nhl roster as their league agreement requires. With a slide year likely at least this season, it will be four or five years before they need another contract.
Exactly what I was thinking …the kids can just concentrate on having fun playing hockey.they will not have the pressure iff they get hurt .it’s a big difference to get it done right away .
Just have fun guy’s and grow to become NHL ready for 22 or 23 .no worry.
Wrap that is an option but need to consider Shaws caphit too. Under that scenario off season ltir used for Shaw to exceed caphit to open season, leaves little callup room work with once season starts without another ltir or moving somebody anyways, may not be the way they want to go. Also not likely icing your best roster with all of Reichel, Entwistle or Hardman in Rfd., or maybe they want to carry 3 goalies. Have to wait and see how they want to deal with it i guess

Correct, all 3 of those guys could/should make team… but won’t… I will add Galvas to that list.
Good problem to have really
Didn’t know much about him but he’s looking pretty damn good. Hopefully it’ll rub off on his brother.
