Blackhawks Sign Jordan Oesterle

The Chicago Blackhawks have signed defenseman Jordan Oesterle to a two-year deal.

Oesterle, 25, played at Western Michigan University from 2011-14 before signing as a free agent with the Oilers in March of 2014. Listed at 6-0 and 182 pounds, the left-handed shot defenseman has appeared in 25 NHL games with six assists in his career.

Last season with Edmonton’s AHL affiliate in Bakersfield, Oesterle had seven goals and 25 assists in 44 games.
