Blackhawks Sign Michael Leighton To 1-Year Extension

On Tuesday morning, the Blackhawks announced a one-year extension with Rockford netminder Michael Leighton.

Last season with the IceHogs, Leighton was 22-13-4 with a 2.26 goals against average and .920 save percentage.

So I’m done guessing because they did qualify Rasmussen, which surprises me. They did not qualify Matt Carey, which does not surprise me.

So this year I guess we can continue to expect “Ras-MOOOSE-en” to be on Wall’s “We need to call up THIS guy” list every time the Blackhawks lose two in a row, ha ha …
