I have been waiting patiently in the parking space reserved for drive-through orders only to receive a soggy bag of cold french fries.

Trade implies we got something in return. I’d take a soggy bag of cold fries for Gus and call it a win.

Good move by Calgary. They have the system and defensemen to cover Gus,s adventures.

Pitt traded Kahun for two forwards. Buf might trade him for 3 players.

For a conditional draft pick???! Way to go Stan. What did I tell y’all.

The lack of action today by the Blackhawks signals one thing is certain. Stan has been told he is done but Rocky recognizes this is a lost season so the new GM won’t take over until after the end of the regular season. That new GM will have a couple of months to make a decision re our goal tending situation and prepare for the draft and free agency.

It appears this will be Bowmans last trade deadline to preside over.If his departure is imminent that certainly means that the new G.M. will have very little time to negotiate a deal with either of the Goalies.Embarrassing to the organization if they both walk for nothing in return.

Smitty I sure hope you are right. The new GM can fire JC immediately and hopefully McDonut is shown the door too.

Why does everyone on this board hate McDonough?? I met him last month at the grocery store, he swore that he Hawks will be back sooner than later !! I agree with Tim ,Stan is GONE after this miserable season.

i saw a third and fifth for gus on twitter and also conditional picks for him on twitter.
also saw a second and a prospect for lehner on twitter.

seems like old stan reprised the “wait too long and ask too much” tactics out of the bag he used for leddy, sharp, and anisimov and came up with less than gratifying returns.

at this point i don’t care anymore. as long as he is gone after the season. and hopefully mc donough is on the same rail out of town,

Very odd day. It seems like when other teams make a trade, they publish what they received in return for the departing players. No so for Hawks thus far.

I hope BBB is wrong. If not Stanley is coming over to my house for poker night.

Saying a couple of conditional picks probably one that upgrades with performance this year , 0layer or team in playoffs or both. Resigning pick for 2021 maybe

Hard to say whether Bowman over-estimated return value for Lehner. It could be that he did as well as possible. Not trading Gus last year, over the summer or before the first game, to net this outcome feels like a huge miss.

This will be Bowman’s last trade. He will be fired as soon as the season is over. Mc Donough will hopefully be gone too. He allowed that idiot Bowman to coach Q and that is unacceptable. Colliton sucks as a head coach. He should still be coaching in Rockford gaining experience.

Gus had a good year last season, but this season isn’t as good.

Here was my post on Feb. 23, 10:22 am:

Agree with Pucklogic’s logic. Some bloggers think that Gus will bring in a 1st rounder. Absolutely crazy. My guess is a mid-3rd because of his offense and pp.

Dis”Gus”ting…sit him out for 2 games to wait til all the other defenceman are moved as the 11th hour approaches. A used puck bag in return…Nice job Stan

Most here bitched for years that a bag of used pucks would be a steal if we could get it for Gus.

I’ll take the 3rd. It feels about right.

Never knew there were so many whiners here. Sad really. Not sure they could ever be pleased.

How many accounts does Hull really have? It’s like a Hull-clone show here any more.

The restraint that was shown by Stan not to trade for a previous washed up Hawk is commendable

Please don’t keep Bowman around to make this 3rd rd selection, and 2nd rd for Lehner. His ten year record of drafting quality in Rounds 2 or 3: Nordstrom, Johns (given away), Saad, DCat, maybe Mitchell, maybe Barratt.

So many morons forget Stan was able to keep players for 3 Cups during a Stagant Salary Cup Era. While not perfect he has been one of the better GMs in the League. The rest of the league would pounce on Stan if he was let go. Too much over valuing Lehner and Gus … Stan got quality picks plus a Defensemen’s Defenseman out of Denver. Our next generation d corps are in place with lots of depth.

Blackhawks can’t win a Stanley Cup every year. Appreciate the 6 Stanley Cups and realize that Stan has done a good job. We could always go back to not winning for 49 years.
