Blackhawks Trade Malcolm Subban To Buffalo

Kyle Davidson has made his first trade as the interim general manager of the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Blackhawks have traded goaltender Malcolm Subban to the Buffalo Sabres for future considerations.

Subban, who turns 28 on Dec. 21, appeared in 17 games (14 starts) over two seasons since he was acquired in the trade that sent Robin Lehner to Vegas.

Does that mean they are getting something for him, or he just gave him away.?

Working our way through Stan Bowman’s collection of underachieving 1st Round draft picks: Zadorov and Subban gone. Strome and Nylander to go.

Just curious what the “intern” thought about when StanBo traded Joki for Nylander.

That’s really good for both team and for Subban who can now look ahead to get another chance before he leaves hockey.
Hawks will probably get a 7 th rd pick next year or year after depending on where he will play this year .
Now Hawks have one less goalie and it’s about time .

Hawks 2010: Not saying Subban was a world beater(he wasn’t) but that does leave us 1 signed goaltender for next year and he’s backing up Delia in Rockford. Guess who’ll be in the market for goalies next year??

Alex, I’ll take GM’s in hockey who shouldn’t be for $1000.

Kyle the Interim is getting busy, supposedly teams are asking about MAF in addition to that Borgstrom might also be available and as per usual add in Strome.

As for further considerations we’re still waiting on that part of the Krueger trade to Las Vegas.

    Hammer T
Soderbloom will be in the mix with Basse and Nalimov plus a few goalies who will not be signed by other NHL team next year but it’s to far away for now.
In the now we are ok I think .
Prefer to see him leave now and make him happy plus he was never in the Hawks plan .
Next year will be a rock @ roll year for the Hawks and we won’t recognize the team probably . Not saying it’s going to be better in short term but it’s probably just the start of a new big change .

Hawks 2010 I agree about the changes and wish Subban well. Better to get something for him.

I wonder if Coach King or Interim Davidson knew who Subban was? Maybe King remembered him from Rockford. Selective memories for these 2 guys I think. Hope they don’t know Nylander.

He seems like a very nice guy, and I wish him nothing but good luck. He didn’t get a ton of ice time here, and I hope he gets a better shot in Buffalo.
