Brent Seabrook Coaching In The WHL

Brent Seabrook was a leader with the Blackhawks, so the move into coaching made sense at some point.

That point is apparently now.

Seabrook has joined the Vancouver Giants in the WHL as a volunteer/interim coach. Their head coach, Michael Dyck, is on the staff for Team Canada at the upcoming World Junior Hockey Championships so Seabrook has stepped in, joining Keith McCambridge behind the bench.

Seabrook made his debut behind the Giants bench in Wednesday’s game at Kelowna.

We wish him luck! Maybe someday we’ll see him behind the bench in Chicago.

John Galt, yes, the Colliton mentoring is no doubt invaluable to Seabs, perhaps even as much as what Rundblad taught him about the game and being tough and smart.

Think Seattle would want to go younger and take a Strome & Nylander for Wennberg?

@JR Roman – The only idiot GM that would make a deal for Strome and Nylander has been unemployed since October (a sad day for the other 31 GMs who had Stan on speed dial – 1-800- GOT-JUNK)

Yep deHaan can’t play anymore. Couldn’t get out of the zone from behind the net on the 3rd goal. Looks like they played yesterday not NY.
