Canada Wins In OT, Medal Tournament Set

Drew Doughty scored both of Canada’s goals, but the game-winner didn’t come until overtime. With the extra session, the United States clinched the second seed for the medal tournament with Sweden at number one, Canada at three and Finland at four.

Here are the medal tournament brackets:

This means there will be no gold medal showdown between the United States and Canada as there was in 2010, but there could be as many as six Blackhawks in the gold medal game next Sunday morning.

I like the brackets. The U.S has an easy run into the semi’s and Canada has to play a disciplined defensive Swiss team. We have to win one really tough game against Canada and then we are in the Gold medal game. I am glad we are in the bracket with Canada. That will be fun to watch.
