this was fantastic! I nearly had tears in my eyes when they showed his wife! And stick taps to the Canucks for tapping their sticks to honor Beliveau!

Thanks Tab-didn’t get a chance to watch but as a mid 50s guy growing up near Ottawa this was very impactful.
    A classy organization.

I’m 60 years old and a lifelong Hawks fan; I can clearly remember the days in the mid-60’s when it was a weekend ritual that my parents took the family out for dinner on Saturday nights and always early enough to return by puck drop with Lloyd Pettit. My parents loved the Hawks and passed that on to me and I’ve never lost the lovefor the game, its history or traditions.

I can say that I always hated Montreal and Beliveau largely because we could never get past them; but those Montreal teams were amazing and today I can look back at them with respect and great admiration. Obviously with time and maturity one learns to appreciate the great individuals and Mr. Beliveau was among them…RIP Sir.

One additional point…can I add that Chicago is blessed with an individual of the same stature, skill and character. Let’s enjoy and relish the kid because the likes of him only come along once in a lifetime.
