Carpenter, Gustafsson Removed From COVID Protocol

On Sunday morning, the Blackhawks announced forward Ryan Carpenter and defenseman Erik Gustafsson have been cleared from COVID protocol and are able to join the team.

That also means, unfortunately, that Patrick Kane remains in protocol and won’t play against the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday.

That’s good news that Carpenter is back, awful for the defense. I hope Kane’s family is doing OK. Still, no excuses for tonight: Detroit on a back to back. All teams have issues that they have to deal with regarding players not playing. NO EXCUSES!!! PUT UP OR CLEAR THE DECK!!! Enough of this stuff. I’m sick of seeing people accepting mediocrasy as a norm for this team and not putting the blame on the person that’s responsible for all of this: STAN BOWMAN!!!

As much as I love Kane maybe now some of these guys can start looking for their own offense instead of constantly forcing the puck to Kane. This disaster of a team is going nowhere so having Kane or Toews sit out and heal is not the worst thing.

The best thing that could come out of this is the Hawks realize this team has no fight and no resiliency to come back once they fall behind, like Vancouver did last night. They need major roster churn to get back having that ability. Recall when they went down 5-0 to Calgary in the firsts period and came back and won 6-5 in OT? Was that 2009? The Hawks used to always believe they were in the game and could come back, of course they had the talent to do so back then, unlike now.

If they continue to be this bad, maybe Kane and Toews will realize they are spinning their wheels here and follow Keith’s lead and ask to be moved to a real team. Edmonton is undefeated and all the people that were complaining about Keith after every game, well, they are very happy to have him contributing to wins in Edmonton right now. I guess our HOF defenseman wasn’t the problem with our defense afterall, surprise surprise.

Testing to see if I am blocked from this site.

At end of last year, I bit hard at the Bowman Colliton Kool aid drinkers.
    Like I have since 2018.

So I wonder if I am still allowed here?

Sit the idiot at the end of the bench. Double shift Mitchell. I can see bone head mistakes from young D not from a veteran. I know he whiffed, could happen to anyone. What I didn’t like was he didn’t assess or acknowledge the situation. Bertuzzi was no where near him. Rookies do that. They hurry and rush things. Not veterans.

After the game put him as a healthy scratch til someone needs a dman and get a bag of pucks for him.
