Before the NHL Trade Deadline, the Blackhawks made another move.
Veteran forward Mattias Janmark has been traded to the Golden Knights. Chicago is also sending a fifth round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft to Vegas. The Blackhawks received a second round pick in the 2021 draft and a third in the 2022 draft from Vegas.
We were waiting to hear how much salary would be retained by Chicago (and/or others) to make the money work for Vegas. San Jose became the third team in the deal to make it an affordable deal for the Golden Knights.
