Congratulations, Hall of Famer Pat Foley

Before Sunday night’s victory, Pat Foley spoke with the media about being inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. He’s been the voice of the Blackhawks for many of us, and the honor is well deserved. Congrats!

Here’s Foley’s media session from Sunday with a few more highlights from throughout the years.

Pat Foley over any other, any day of the week! Miss him when I can’t get his broadcasts out of town.

He ranks just behind Lloyd Petit as best Chicago broadcasters!

It’s a shame that when the Hawks get deep into the playoffs, we can’t listen to the best in the business!!

Reg, i agree. Never liked that. Pat has kinda been left out of what should have been shared with he and the teams success. He would never admit it publicly i doubt, but that has to hurt some. It’s not anyone’s fault, but still…

Also, Pat gets a few shots here and I understand why, but if you listen to games around the league it’s no guarantee you will be impressed with the commentary/broadcast from other teams.

Times have changed. I still say when Pat was radio only(and even early simul) he was right there with the best and he was still a young man in his 30’s . Letting him go was lame, It was a great day when he was reinstated.

He seems to be pretty humble about it all too. He’s had my respect since day 1
