Connor Murphy Will Wear an “A” This Season

The Blackhawks made their leadership group official on Tuesday.

Jonathan Toews is still the captain.

Patrick Kane will wear an A at all time. Alex DeBrincat will wear an A for home games and Connor Murphy will wear an A on the road.

Which is good for Murphy, who has improved every season in Chicago and is clearly part of the blue line core moving forward.

Good to see Murphy get a leadership role too and keep Kane and Cat in leadership roles as well.

A good solution with Cat and Murphy – Kane was always going to be one of the As – this acknowledges the leadership of the other two

This guy has heart and plays a lot of minutes. Well-deserved.

I must confess I did not like the Hammer for Murphy trade when it happened but it sure looks good in the rear view mirror now. CM is top 4, inexpensive, still young, pretty durable & a quiet leader: Hammer tuned out to have very little tread left on the tires and is now out of the game.

One of the best trade from Bowman
Fans where hard on him in first 2 years and now we can see clearly that the Hawks did a great move .
Murphy deserve the A and at 28 y o he has is best year ahead of him .
I think we will see the best of him in the next 3-4 years .
Very calm. Humble, intelligent, my favourite Dmen now that Seabrook is gone.

Murphy for Hjammer was a steal !!!!
Solid D-man who gets caught few times a game but delivers 100x a game…
    Great team guy !

Good for Connor. He is a quality guy. I still think he needs a new agent as the Hawks are stealing him, but he signed the deal.
