Hossa, Kruger Injury Updates

Hossa has been out since Feb. 13, when he was injured during the Hawks 3-2 overtime loss to the Ducks. Chicago is 2-1-0 without Hossa, outscoring the Leafs and Rangers 12-5 before Sunday’s disaster against the Wild in the Stadium Series game.

Kruger was injured on Dec. 17 as the Hawks beat the Oilers 4-0 at the United Center. He had only one assist and was minus-five at the time of the injury, and coach Joel Quenneville has indicated he won’t be back before the end of the regular season.

Looks like Hossa will be skating later this week, but that doesn’t mean he will be seeing game action. He must be cleared by team doctors in order to play.

Tab, did the Hawks ever put Kruger on LTIR and is there any truth to the rumor that Toronto might have interest in Bickell. One other question how would the cap be affected if a player retires with term still left on his contract.

16 not on LTIR, yet. I think Bowman is waiting until last second to bank space for deadline. Then have some Rockford guys come up to get up to cap then LTIR the 1.5m so we have that to use for player bonus.

Interesting thing about 29 trade is that, supposedly, TOR asked us for trade/offer. What do they want, picks/prospects and salary to stay above floor while they stock pile picks.

Dunks/Crow was at a concert, singing the beasty boys song I posted the other wk. Good vibes.

Toronto has 26 million on IR…Holy crap!

And Capfriendly has Kruger being placed on LTIR shortly after the injury. That has never been announced so its assumed that information is incorrect.

We havnt seen it announced anywhere. Why havnt our reporters asked that questions then, during or now.

I recall Mully and Hanley interviewing Olczyk one morning and asked that question. Granted he’s not part of the organization, but he’s closer than we are and he said he couldn’t see why they wouldn’t.

The 2 reasons they wouldn’t. Hoping he’d make it back before the playoffs to knock some rust off. And 2, to prevent themselves from making a trade because they have the relief and handcuffing themselves at the deadline.

Maybe they don’t make a move at the deadline and save all that space for next year.

Regarding the Leaves (sorry couldn’t resist) asking the Hawks what they’d offer. Everyone knows the Hawks are desperate. They wanna know how desperate and if it’s worth it for them.
