IceHogs Announce 2 Roster Moves

With Rob Scuderi on waivers with the Blackhawks, the Rockford IceHogs announced a couple moves on their blue line.

Defenseman Sam Jardine, who had appeared in six games with Rockford, was reassigned to the Indy Fuel of the ECHL. Jardine was a sixth round pick by the Hawks in the 2011 NHL Draft and played at Ohio State.

The IceHogs also announced the signing of defenseman Jonathan Carlsson to a PTO. Carlsson, 27, was originally selected in the sixth round of the 2008 NHL Draft by the Blackhawks and played in 19 games for Rockford in 2009-10. He was most recently with the Evansville IceMen of the ECHL.

Scuderi was not on the ice for the Blackhawks morning skate on Wednesday.

Without Scuderi in Rockford, the IceHogs have seven defensemen on the roster including Carlsson.
