IceHogs Sign Henrik Samuelsson

On Sunday evening, the Rockford IceHogs announced they have signed forward Henrik Samuelsson to a PTO contract.

Samuelsson, 24, is listed at 6-3 and 210 pounds and was originally selected 27th overall by the Arizona Coyotes at the 2012 NHL Draft. He has spent the 2017-18 season with the Idaho Steelheads in the ECHL, where he has scored 16 goals with 27 assists and 96 penalty minutes in 49 games.

Samuelsson’s father Ulf is an assistant coach with the Blackhawks. Henrik appeared in three games with the Coyotes during the 2014-15 season.

Might be a help for Rockford’s playoff push. See an article in the Athletic that Dylan Sikura maybe thinking about free agency rather than signing with the Hawks. Hopefully SB won’t let this happen!

    SB; Yes?

UD: Its Ulf, can you sign my son to a minor league deal he was a 1st round pick in 2012 and his ECHL gig is over.

Minor league depth. Especially if the hawks trade some of their roster players and call up a few of the kids. Can’t hurt to see if theirs Anything their with him.

Waking up from another bad dream!!! I just saw Bouma Wingels and Debrincat as the 3rd line? Really? 10 points out of wild card spot and those Bowan AHL/ECHL signings are playing ahead of Hartman and Sharp? They will get more ice time then Vinnie, Kampf and Jurco? And then Coach Q’s brilliant plan of development of shipping the best centreman we have had all season, especially the last 25-30 games Schmualtz bag on right wing to play Anisimov who at this point should be centering the 3rd line.
BOUMA and WINGELS, this is simply stupid. And no one challenges Q’s decisions?
The other bad dream is Bowman put in charge for a rebuild?

Attempting to reach the low point of the season and it’s working. Cup no longer half full no only backwash left.

Yet, Osterle has 9 lives with no doghouse as the giveaway artist continues to may Keith’s life miserable. #82 should be on waivers as well. This is not comprehensible. Keith and Seabrook are not the problem. Playing with no talent on defence is taking its toll on those great players.
And watchingthe dynamic #8 have to dig the puck in the corner for #15 is another joke.

If there is a plan to rebuild then put #8, #88, #20 back together and put #57, #82, #17 in minors and bring up IACOPELLI, FORTIN, HAYDEN and POKKA.
