Mark McNeill Headed Back To Rockford

On Wednesday morning, the Blackhawks reassigned forward Mark McNeill to Rockford.

McNeill made his NHL Debut in Tuesday night’s loss debacle in Carolina. He was credited with three hits and one takeaway in 12:44 of ice time.

This moves isn’t a surprise as the Hawks are now on break for the All-Star Game and don’t need to carry McNeill’s cap hit.

Well he got his cup of coffee with the Hawks, good for him, would love to see him come up next time and stay.
So now, if i’m not mistaken isn’t the only Blackhawks draft pick who is on the Icehogs roster today and has never played or been on the Hawks regular season roster for at least one game is Garret Ross??

Clendening on waivers from the Ducks and claimed by the Oilers. I guess the Hawks brass had a good idea of the D roster depth. Glad to have Gusty and hope Svedberg continues to develop.

Also should note that the Senators appear to be dangling Jared Cowen. It was reported that because of Cowen’s deal and his age, that if he’s bought out this summer that team would have a roughly 600k cap credit. That’d be huge.

The Hurricanes are going to need to get to the floor with a lot of money coming off and no young guys up yet. They could take a bad contract if useful prospects come back. Bickell and whatever else they want for Eric Staal. That’d be swell.

    Another Blackhawks south team.

Would have liked to Neiller get a game when we weren’t in a sch like that. Be good to see get to play somewhere if we’re not going to keep him. He’s paid his dues I would like to see him get to play somewhere when he’s ready.
