Los Angeles Kings traded a 7th round pick in 2012 to the Dallas Stars for a 7th round pick in 2013.
Anaheim Ducks trade D Lubomir Visnovsky to the New York Islanders for a 2nd round pick in 2013.
This deal wouldn’t have helped our Defence??? I am not liking Bowman’s lack of activity…Visnovsky could have QBed our PP and replaced Campbell…
How is Visnovsky’s style of play that different from the mix everyone’s complaining about in Chicago, Brad? He’s 5-10 and 200 lbs… not exactly the big, bruising defenseman everyone wants. He might be an upgrade from Oduya (might), but they’re too similar for the Hawks to add the same style of player
Agreed, that right now, he is not the size, style that we need…my point is, that for the price, he is a much better option than Oduya at $3.5 mil, Hammer at $3.5 mil, Montador at $2.8 mil, etc…
Visnovsky is a TOP 4 DMan…how many top 4 DMen do we currently have on the Hawks??? TWO…
Since Visnovsky is flirting with the KHL it seems we dodged a bullet…of making a trade for a player who may not even be in the NHL next season.
