NHL Players Headed Back To Winter Olympics

On Friday the NHL and NHLPA will announce players will participate in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. The news was leaked on the site for the Beijing Olympics.

The preliminary round is scheduled to begin on Feb. 3 and the gold medal game is scheduled for Feb. 20.

Initial rosters have to be submitted by Oct. 15. Final rosters will be announced in Jan. 2022.

Here are the groups for the preliminary rounds:

Canada
USA
Germany
China

Group B

Russia
Czech Republic
Switzerland
Denmark

Group C

Finland
Sweden
Latvia
Slovakia

    LOL, China in same group as Canada and US. Given how lopsided these games will be, the PRC might have to censor domestic coverage of them.

    Never been a fan of professionals playing in the Olympics. I hope no Hawks players go, can’t afford an injury to anyone. Hope they learned a lesson with Dach
