NHL Suspends Austin Watson 27 Games

On Wednesday the NHL announced that Predators’ forward Austin Watson has been suspended for all preseason and the first 27 games of the 2018-19 regular season, without pay, for unacceptable off-ice conduct.

Watson was charged plead no contest to to a charge of domestic assault on July 24, 2018.

Sorry, but this isn’t a strong enough statement from the NHL. Beating a woman and admitting it warrants more than one-third of the regular season.

    “Unacceptable off-ice conduct”…????

Hopefully team releases him. There must be an out clause for this type of behavior.
