Regular Season Cancellations Coming

Reports on Monday are that the NHL will begin cancelling regular season games soon, and they’ll do so in two-week blocks.

So, for owners of Blackhawks tickets, here are the games that would be wiped out in the first two weeks:

What’s striking is that, if the NHL only loses two weeks of the regular season (doubtful), the Hawks’ first regulars season game would come on Oct. 30, against the Phoenix Coyotes.

It would really blow to lose any of those games, that’s a great exciting start to the season.

If everything goes right…and they get a deal done (huge if, I know). Wouldn’t the NHL just schedule a 2 week pre-season and then put the cancelled schedule at the end of the season if they cancel no more than 1 month of games?

How many games does the NHL have to cancel before they have effectively cut the players salaries to where they want them for this year just by loss of games played? I bet thats about how many games will be lost.

This whole thing is a clusterfu*k. The NHL and its players are SEVERELY testing the tolerance level of its longtime diehard fans. The solution? Start by sh*t-canning Gary Bettman, the clown who over-expanded the number of franchises, thereby creating a bunch of franchises allegedly on the verge of bankruptcy. That’s the REAL argument going on with the owners….the successful and/or bigger market clubs doing battle with the damned Phoenix Coyotes of the world over revenues, salary floor.

Fingers crossed that the NHL is back Jan 1. I’m not holding my breath. Especially with mega-douche Donald Fehr working for the players.

Don’t these knuckleheads realize who really gets hurt in all of this.
The vendors, the bars, the restaurants, the parking companies, limos, public transportation, etc.
Working people who do not make millions a year to survive and support themselves and their families.
Many of them need and look forward to this income every season.
Selfish does not describe these so called professionals at all.

most of the players should go play overseas if they really plan on holding their ground and fighting the owners… otherwise the owners hold all the cards IMO

as they go overseas in bigger #’s… perhaps the owners will start to cave…

I am really going to miss arguing w/ Tab, and pissing and moaning about Monty and Kane on this thread!!!!!
