Hawks are now realy loaded on defenseman prospect. Best in 10 year. We got Keith, Seabrook, Hjalmarsson, Byfuglien and Wisniewski – all NHL players till now – in those times.

Both of these guys shoot left. Dahlstrom a big guy 6’4 225, not sure how physical he plays though. Norell 5’11 190. If they also bring on Robin Press as I heard, he is a right hand shot with good size, 6’3.

Don’t know if these guys will be signed to pro contracts and brought over for next year or be left to marinade in Sweden for another year but it’s a good idea to at least give them a taste of North American hockey in Rockford.

Shveeds, shveeds, everywhere shveeds. Vee got shveeds coming out of our ears. Yah hey dere.

Not that I think there’s anything wrong with that, especially considering I come from a long line of shveeds. :)

Thats funny ER,,good one…maybe time to invest in Lingonberries, Meatballs, and IKEA. If some go “home ” for the summer I got about 92 Allen wrenches they can bring back ( from all those ” I can’t put ’em together” Billy bookcases over the years )

Hopefully they will play like Hjalmarson can never have too many options on defense especially after this year since there will be a big turnover. I would hope some of the current Rockford group will be in play for the Hawks roster next season. “Q” will need to get past the reluctance to play the kids.

All three of these guys were impressive at the rookie camp. Dalstrom is a big body, I actually confused him with Klas Dalbeck. Press and Norell both are guys that fit the Hawks puck possession mold, excited to watch them next season.

Last Dance this season. Times are changing for the Hawks next year.

Should be good if Rockford makes a long run into the AHL playoffs, plus Rasmussen is around to show them the way.

Hof, I don’t think Press is coming yet. He played in Sweden Division 1 not the Elite league.

Im from Stockholm, been watching DIF Hockey for 20 years (Kruger, Kronwall, Sundin, Hornqvist, Zibinjad + many more) are coming from this organization. Norell is a stud, been playing really well for us, can really move and have high IQ. Was great at the World Juniors last year. We just signed Robin Press to DIF. I have very high hopes for Mr Press! The future is looking very bright and Swedish.

I saw Dahlstrom at rookie camp too and followed his season this year. So far I don’t consider him a prospect. Unless you consider having good size but sucking being prospect status.

Thanks for the comments Johan, great stuff.

Whatever end of the spectrum these guys are on, great, suck, or somewhere in between, it’s good they’re getting a taste of pro hockey via the Rockford try out. Personally, I wouldn’t put much stock into their performance these last few games one way or the other. Just getting their feet wet and see if they bring them over next year or have them get more experience overseas.
