Report: Calvin de Haan Out 4-5 Months

According to tell Scott Powers of The Athletic, Calvin de Haan will likely be out four to five months after re-injuring his right shoulder against the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday.

Powers reports de Haan will need surgery on the shoulder that delayed his start to the 2019-20 season. The Blackhawks placed de Haan on injured reserve on Tuesday; he could be moved to LTIR.

This could be the difference between a top 2 pick and picking between 8-16.

Too bad for Dehaan was playing well, any word official update on Shaw, see he was moved ltir but nothing official on how long, just speculation. Doesn’t appear to be very good for him.

With 4 previous surgeries in his recent history,I think we all feared that this was going to happen. Was pleasantly surprised that he was as physical as he was.Not many d men have that type of medical history with their shoulders so his return will be interesting.

Summer 2019 the NHL GM’s emptied their infirmaries and there was Stanbo waiting to snap up the wounded. Kind of like when Castro emptied the jails and sent all the convicts to Florida.

Too bad for De Haan as he did play well. The shoulder is unstable joint though, so it’s hard to be optimistic.
