Riley Stillman, Jujhar Khaira Out Of COVID Protocol

On Tuesday morning, the Chicago Blackhawks happily announced defenseman Riley Stillman and forward Jujhar Khiara have been cleared of COVID protocol. All of the team’s assistant coaches — including Marc Crawford — have also cleared the protocol.

The only player remaining in lockdown is Henrik Borgstrom.

Be interesting to see when the dust settles who remains on roster. Gus looking over his shoulder trying to make decision to take out of lineup a harder choice last couple of games, be a couple D over what they want to carry as well as a couple of fwds to send down, waive or move. Easy route is Kalynuk, Philips plus a couple of R. Johnson, Hardman, Entwistle or Kurashev sent to Rfd. Makes spots pretty crowded down there though.

Hossa has released statement in support of Kyle Beach in which he says he didn’t know anything about it at the time

Add Hoss to T,K , Keith and Ladd who say they didn’t hear anything or know anything at the time

That runs counter to Sopel,Boynton and Beach saying every player knew at the time

I’m inclined to believe Hoss and the others are telling the truth and Sopel and others are making assumptions and they don’t really know for sure or have any evidence but we’ll probably never know who exactly knew what when amongst the players from 2010

And now apparently it is the Penguins’ turn in the barrel of allegations. Mario and Bill Guerin.

Wrap the report says from comments made be Q, McDonough and others at the time, winning a cup and keeping it from the players so they could win the cup, was their reason for handling it the way they did. If Beach talked to Toews or anybody else on the team about it, that wilould have bern in report. So its not hard to believe at the time they didn’t know anything during cup run or during cup celebrations. When Toews says he heard at following training camp about Aldrich was gone and a rumor something happened thats likely true. Hearing a rumor certainly isn’t knowing anything. With Aldrich gone and everybody back at camp no doubt you would think its over. The Black aces practice at different times and players be so focused on what their doing, unless specifically told anything among the black aces would seem just like normal banter. To say they knew is a pretty vague statement.

John Tortorella gets it so right!

“This wasn’t a one-man decision,” he said. “It’s multiple people. I just don’t get why one guy couldn’t just stand up and say, ‘You know what? No. This is wrong.’”

Dollar – yep I saw that – totally agree with Torts

Even though we know McD was a control freak and a bully it’s amazing that no one in that meeting spoke up against waiting the 3 weeks which violated their own policy for how to handle sexual harassment or assault

Bring them out one game at a time. They might get a hat trick in their first game back too!

Good to see Stillman back. Good for Phillips to get a taste but he should be left in Rockford for next year or more.

Looking even more forward to seeing Kalynuk back. He can replace Gus in a heartbeat.
