Scott Darling Could Miss 3 Weeks

After a dramatic 2-1 shootout win against the Islanders, coach Joel Quenneville made the biggest news of the night for the Blackhawks.

A number of reports postgame indicate it’s a hand injury for Darling.

Darling is 16-5-2 with a 2.13 goals against average and .931 save percentage this season, the final under his current contract. News that he could miss three weeks is significant because there are… five weeks left in the regular season.

Chicago recalled Jeff Glass before Friday night’s game. The Hawks are in Nashville on Saturday.

Chicago closes the 2016-17 regular season with 17 games in 31 days, but have only two back-to-backs down the stretch.

Put in Glass tonight. Let him audition for next seasons backup.

Is it wildly unreasonable that Bowman considers moving Crow in the offseason and does a 3 yr 10 mil deal with Darling?
