St. Louis Blues Call Martin Brodeur

St. Louis starting goaltender Brian Elliott left the Blues’ game Tuesday left Tuesday night’s game against the Senators late in the second period with a lower body injury. On Wednesday, the Blues announced that Elliott’s injury is being considered a “week-to-week” issue, and St. Louis has already started scrambling to put together a contingency plan.

ESPN’s Pierre LeBrun tweeted later this afternoon that he expects that the “Blues will make a call on him either way by mid-week next week.” The Blues have already recalled goalie Jordan Binnington.

The Blackhawks host the Blues on Wednesday, Dec. 3 in the first half of a tough back-to-back. The Blues are in Nashville the following night.
