USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp Update
All six of the Blackhawks’ prospects were in action again on Tuesday at the USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp, and two high-scoring games ended with a couple players impacting the box scores again.
Through two games, the leading scorer at the camp is forward Teuvo Teräväinen, who now has two goals and three assists for Finland.
Teräväinen scored a power play goal and two penalty minutes as Finland lost to USA White 5-2 in the day’s second game. Tyler Motte had an assist and two penalty minutes for the USA White squad in the victory.
In the day’s first game, Sweden held on to defeat USA Blue 4-3. The Blackhawks’ two prospects on Sweden’s roster, defensemen Carl Dahlström and Robin Norell, did not register a point and stayed out of the penalty box.
For USA Blue, John Hayden did not impact the box score, but one of the key players for the Americans was forward Vince Hinostroza. He had a strong final 40 minutes and was credited with an assist on the team’s third and final goal. Hinostroza has an assist in both games for USA Blue at the camp.
