USA Hockey Releases 2022 Winter Olympic Schedules

On Thursday morning, USA Hockey released the schedules for both the men’s and women’s teams at the 2022 Winter Olympics.

The women’s schedule features three preliminary round games, beginning on Feb. 3. The big matchup is on Feb. 8 when the USA faces Canada in what could be another gold medal game preview. The USA women will open play against Finland on Feb. 3 and then face whatever we’re calling Russia on Feb. 5 and Switzerland on Feb. 5 before facing Canada.

Elimination round play for the women begins on Feb. 11 with the gold medal game scheduled for Feb. 17.

The men’s schedule shows the US playing three preliminary games. The USA will open against China on Feb. 10 before facing Canada on Feb. 12. The final preliminary game will be against Germany on Feb. 13.

Elimination round play for the men begins on Feb. 15 with the gold medal game scheduled for Feb. 20.

The IIHF has also released the full schedule for the Winter Olympics.

Didn’t see brackets / pods or pools (whatever they are called) but if US plays Canada in preliminary games, doesn’t that preclude a US v Canada gold medal game?

Uncle Bill no there is 2 groups and crossover games in qfs, that gives them both a path to gold medal game win or lose.
