I know there’s been a fair amount of chatter about Seabs and his contract but you cannot take away the importance and warrior play by number 7 for so many years here. I could not see him in any other jersey and hope he retires a Hawk. Three things stick out in my mind (and there are many others). 1. The overtime goal in Detroit, 2. The “speech” he had with Toews when Toews was upset and getting hammered in that series as well, 3. The Backes hit. Not to advocate hurting someone but Backes was having his way with many forwards in that series , Toews included, and something needed to be done. Seabs stepped up and delivered, biggest hit of that year and timely too. Will always cherish this teams core and the 3 cups they have provided so far as I’ve been a Hawks fan for a very long time and gone through the lean years but always stood by to defend them anyways. Get some!!
